Oh my goodness, it has been a long time since I have updated this thing and as soon as I find my camera cord in our mountain of unpacked belongings, pictures will be seen.
The summer began in a weekend. Packing up a truck and driving it across country by myself, with only Chango for company. Within 48 hours we were at camp. Training was in full swing and Jay and I jumped into our new jobs like little kids jumping into a pool on a hot summer afternoon.
Within two weeks of that we were on the road again, this time with a climbing wall, eurobungy, large white trailor and 30-odd staff in tow. We have been to 8 different sites to run our day camp and have been a part of some 1,776 campers hearing the Gospel of Christ this summer.
In the midst of camper craziness my baby sister got married, we moved into a large (and with our current schedule, unmanagable) home, sprung Chango from the shelter ( a couple of times:( and served God with all our hearts.
And . . .
We are exhausted.
We have next week off, and I, for one, am planning on sleeping A LOT. Then we begin new jobs (again) with Springhill working year round. The jobs are such that we will stay in the Detroit Metro area and continue to work for Day Camps. We have started the home hunt and are eagerly anticipating finding a church home and community in the area.
Thank you to everyone who has kept us in their prayers this summer, and like I said, pics will come soon.
