An Ode to the little ones

Oh Addie and Miles
I will see you soon
But for now your faces
Will decorate my room

Addie maybe soon
You will start to crawl
And Miles soon will
Sit up straight and tall

So grown-up you'll be
Next time we meet
I look forward to that day
It'll be so sweet

So you two keep moving,
Learning, and growing
And for now your pictures
To friends I'll be showing

Some fun things.

This week I saw something here that didn't think I would see again. . . rain in Chihuahua.
After a week of 85 degree days and a few months of sun, we were hit this week with an arctic blast that brought with it precipitation and even a few thunderstorms.

This picture was taken yesterday morning when I was taking the pup out. It wasn't raining, but it was cold (I could see my breath). The clouds were hanging so low that they covered the tops of the mountains that we can see from our front door.
Us, being the smart people that we are, decided that in the midst of this frigid week we should visit the Mandala Cafe. It is built on the side of a mountain and has outdoor seating. We went with our neighbors, the Meissners, and had a great night wrapping ourselves in wool blankets (the restaurant provides them) , eating yummy food and drinking hot beverages.

In puppy news, Chango has found a new bed . . . Jay's backpack.
And although he is a butt-head a lot of the time, he is just so darn cute, it is hard not to love him.

Puppy is HUGE!

I decided to compare last night some of the pictures of the pup.
We have had him for six weeks now and we know he has doubled in weight, but check this out.

Here is a pic from the first day we got him. Notice his size in comparison to the floor tiles.
This picture was taken yesterday.
Yikes! Our little guy is turning into a grown-up.

On a side note, please pray for us as we are deciding on plans for next year. We desperately want to follow God's plan, but so far the process has gotten us nowhere and has been full of weeping and gnashing of teeth.
